Management of verrucous hyperplasia involving the buccal mucosa using the buccal fat pad: A case report

چکیده

Verrucous hyperplasia (VH) is a rare and potentially malignant exophytic oral mucosal lesion with verrucous or papillary surface. VH has tendency to transform into its counterpart, carcinoma, which clinically indistinguishable, yet histologically variable. The most common site of predilection the buccal mucosa more prevalent in patients habits areca nut chewing smoking. A biopsy surrounding normal adequate depth should be performed histopathologically diagnose condition provide treatment management accordingly. present study describes case 37‑year‑old male that was successfully managed by surgical excision reconstruction using fat pad (BFP). BFP used due higher vascularity, proximity donor less scar contracture. patient followed up regularly health uneventful healing complete mucolisation.
